January 10 2018 No One Sees Your Past But You

This topic was destined to be today's topic. The reason why is because I read this exact quote in this month's issue on entrepreneur magazine. I read this quote while working on something that was the embodiment of this quote.

So what was the magical task that lead me to this epiphany ? I was refurbishing a piece of furniture to resell. The furniture had a past that the buyer will never know, the previous owner died in that specific piece of furniture. Sounds messed up but the buyer doesn't need this information and that's why this quote powerful. Have you ever heard of emotional baggage, if you said yes then you know it's a bad thing to have.  Emotional baggage is your past and you shouldn't bring it into new relationships. That's great Josh but how does telling me this help?

Like always this is a post to help change your mindset because honestly no one cares about the struggle that we go through. It's the truth, try telling your boss your so called "story". By "story" I mean everything leading up to the reason why you couldn't complete that important project on time. Or tell them the story of how you found out the tooth fairy wasn't real. The point is your past doesn't matter at work, in a relationship or in business. Like Mark Cuban said in his book How to Win at the Sport Called Business.... You only have to be right once. No one will ever know how many times you failed unless you tell them.

This in itself is a beauty all in itself, how you ask. Haven't you heard the saying Dance like nobody is watching. It's the same with business, no one needs to know how many times you failed in order to succeed. Wait until you make it big to tell everyone that failure is a part of success in the mean time just learn from failure.
