January 19th 2018 Dealing with Stress

Today's post is inspired by a question that was asked by a fan. The question was literally, "how do I deal with stress at the work place?" This is a common question so let me give my opinion on the subject.

It doesn't matter if you work for someone or work for yourself you will always have some sort of stress. But no matter how much stress you have,, you have to make sure that it doesn't affect your performance. So how do I deal with stress at the work place, sometimes I vent to a friend or family member. This allows me to blow off some steam, while not letting it affect me in the workplace. The good thing about venting to a third party is that it won't come back to bite you. If venting doesn't work for you I have another suggestion, listen to audios. If your job allows toss on some audios, it can be anything that clams you. I personally listen to music or motivational audios. The genre of music that calms me is classical music or smooth jazz, I suggest listening to something without lyrics such as Kenny G or Chuck Mangione.

If your job doesn't allow you to have headphones in your ear then I have another way to blow off some stress. Take little breaks and walk, walk through the office or outside if possible. Tony Robbins always says motion creates emotion, so if you are stressed out leave the environment. Go to the bathroom if you want, just change your environment because this makes a difference. It's the same as walking away from a project in order to gain perspective. This is a short post but these are just some of the things I do to relieve stress. Try them out and see if they work for you.
