June 20th 2018 Be Disciplined When The Amounts Are Small

Joe's and Joette's you are in for a treat today. Today's topic comes to us by way of Tony Robbins. Today's topic can apply to almost any aspect of life. So strap on in and enjoy the ride.

The title is a bit confusing so let me explain it. Be disciplined when the amounts are small essentially means to learn how to manage right now using what you already have. A simple example would be our community and the content I create. I have to learn to become self-disciplined now while our community is still small. I can't wait until we have tens of thousands of people in our community because then we will fail and lose them. So I need to produce content that is suitable for my audience first before trying to branch out and get more people. I need to disciplined in releasing the content on schedule (which I'm not), that way in the future when I expand the team we can produce more content on time.

That's how this topic affects my brand but it also affects me in other ways. Another aspect of life that this topic can be applied to is finances. Many of us dream about coming into money through the lottery or other means. The only problem with this is that most lottery winners end up broke in a couple of years. Do you know the number one reason why they end up broke? Poor discipline! Most of them were not disciplined with their money before winning the lotto. Money doesn't change a person it reveals them. So how can you become disciplined with your finances, you can start by budgeting. This is the first step on becoming disciplined with money. If you don't have your finances in control then no matter how much you increase your income you will end up broke. Money is very important so I am making a video on the steps of money management.

Just because the amounts are small doesn't mean you don't give it your all. Kevin Smith knew that no matter how big the audience you have to bring your A game. When he took Clerks to Sundance his audience was small but that didn't stop him from giving it his all. He was disciplined and the right person was there. The person saw his work and offered him a nice contract. See quality is greater than quantity and today's topic is a prime example of this. This is true in the world of retail, you have to be disciplined with every customer. I learned to treat everyone like they were the most important person in the world. Do you know what happened when I did that? I found out some of my customers were pretty important people and they have ended up helping me later on in life.
