July 26th 2018 My Shoulder

About two and a half months ago I wrote about an incident that occurred in my life. I was hit by a washing machine down a flight of stairs. Just so you know this post is more of an update post.

So I've been living with this "sprained" shoulder for close to three months and it hasn't got any better. So like a normal person I went back to the doctor and was told that I needed to get physical therapy. The only problem with this is that I tried to get the therapy but was told I needed an MRI scan of my arm. So after over twenty calls to my workers compensation case worker, I was able to schedule my MRI. I'm having my first ever MRI in less than twenty four hours. And guess what, I'm a bit scared.

Most people think that I don't get scared at times, but I'm just like every one reading this post. Why am I scared some may ask, I'm a bit scared because of the results. What if something is torn or if I need surgery to repair it? What if something bad happens during the MRI? Those are some pretty viable reasons to be afraid but I'm still excited to go get my MRI tomorrow. That makes no sense to many of you but one reason outweighs all of the possible negatives of the MRI. Finding out how to fix the pain in my shoulder is worth any of the possible negative outcomes.

How bad is the pain, it's hard to describe but its always there hurting. I pride myself on my strengths and I would often try to test my strength. When I had some down time I would often grab a 5 gallon jug of water which is about forty pounds. Now I can't even lift a one liter bottle of water with my right arm. That's what hurts, knowing that my strength that I worked to gain is now lost. My right arm is almost as bad as my father's who is disabled. I used to be able to do fifty normal push-ups in a row and now I can't do more than three. But somehow people think I'm just acting like I'm hurt.

Why did I write this post and reveal my current situation? I did it because it hurts to talk about it which means I should talk about it and what better way than to talk with you guys about it. That's it for this post, let me know in the comments if you liked this type of post.
