April 11th 2018 Who is the Clown?
Before we get started with today's post let me say this first, NO. This is not a post exposing everyone as a clown. The title is actually shortened the real name of the topic for today is "Who is this clown that brings me their need and no seed". This topic sounds weird but it will make sense at the end of this post. Plus this was said by the late and great Jim Rohn. So let's dive into this.
I already know many people reading this, don't know who Jim Rohn is. I personally never even heard of him until a couple of years ago. He was Tony Robbins' mentor so he is a perfect person to learn from. So I decided to listen to some audios of his on my walk to work. The audio was one of his talks regarding financial advice. He's not a certified financial planner yet this talk gave away better advice than many financial planners. Why, because he is giving practical advice. What is this magical advice: What you get is directly proportional to what you put in. Mr. Rohn then began talking about the harvest and the only way to have crops is to plant you seeds. That's when he said the quote "Who is this clown that brings me their need and no seed". Don't worry if you don't fully grasp the true meaning of this quote, I'm about to break it down.
Lets break it down part by part. The first part of quote is, Who is the clown. Clown is being used to refer to someone who is acting a fool. The next part is, That brings me their need. Need is being used to describe the person's desires. The final part is, And no seed. Seed is being used to describe the work. That is the literal translation of the quote, but let me give it to you in Average Joe lingo. "How can you expect to achieve your desires if you don't put in the work, dummy? You can't expect to get corn from your farm if you don't plant and care for it. You can't expect to achieve your goals if you are not putting in any work. To achieve anything in life you have work hard. Your results will be the sum of all the work you put in. I can't expect my community to grow if I'm not planting my seeds. I have to put out content and more content to reap my harvest. It will take time to reap your harvest but there is a way to speed it up. You have to get more seeds meaning you have to work harder.
Told you Jim Rohn just blew your mind, but you can get more of his teaching on YouTube for free just search his name. I am by no way sponsored by Jim Rohn but I still have to recommend his advice. Just like Gary Vee and Tony Robbins, I see Jim Rohn as a mentor. Even though he is no longer in this world his teaching are still there to guide entrepreneurs such as myself.
